Why do we require an application?

Our application process is in response to two of the most common questions our Riders have prior to booking a trip with us:

1) Am I skilled/fit enough to participate in this Ride?
2) Will the other people on my Ride be skilled/fit enough?

Ensuring that you - and the other Riders on your Ride - are a good fit for the Ride selected is of paramount importance to us. We want to help you pick the Ride that's perfect for you, and ensure that everyone booked on a Ride is on the right Ride for them. That's why we want to know a bit more about you - your mountain biking history, where you ride, how often, etc... - before we take your money.

We review every application and if, based on your responses, we think you're a good fit, we'll approve your application and you'll receive a link to place a deposit. If we think you might not be a good fit (either too skilled or not skilled enough for the Ride you chose), then we'll give you a call to discuss your preferences in greater detail.

Please note: our application process isn't about excluding anyone, or making anyone feel like they're not 'good enough' to participate in one of our Rides. It's about ensuring that you end up on the right Ride for you, with people of similar skill, fitness and riding preferences. In the end this ends up being a much better experience for everyone.

COME VISIT THE WORLD FAMOUS RED ROCKS AMPHITHEATRE & HIT A FANTASTIC MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAIL! The Red Rocks Trail is challenging and beautiful and will take us right up to the outdoor theater where legendary rockers and musicians have entertained for years! (Remember the Iconic U2 video from 1983?) Do you already have a ticket to a show? We'll customize your trip to fit right into the day's schedule, wrapping up your ride as the tailgate parties begin!

What better way to visit the Red Rocks outdoor theater than in the middle of an amazing mountain bike ride? We'll start our ride on some smooth singletrack that quickly turns into more rugged, rowdy rock-strewn trail. We'll then take a break to visit the theater - take some pics, run up and down the stadium steps if you're feeling spunky, and feel the history of all the amazing bands that have played here over the decades. We'll even stop by a very old cemetary to see the history of this old gold mining town. Then we'll head back on this out-and-back trail to the van for our gourmet lunch and cooler full of local Colorado microbrew craft beers!

Don't be fooled by the distance of this trail: the 4-mile out and back (8 miles total) has some smooth sections but also some rocky terrain that will keep you on your toes, and about 2000 ft of elevation!

If you happen to have tickets to a Red Rocks show, we'll coordinate the day so you'll finish in time to rinse off (we have a solar shower at the Sacred Rides van), change clothes, tailgait in the parking lot, and get to your show!

IS THIS RIDE FOR YOU?

Don't be fooled by the distance of this trail: the 4-mile out and back (8 miles total) has some smooth sections but also some rocky terrain that will keep you on your toes, and about 2000 ft of elevation! Most appropriate for strong intermediate-to-advanced riders. We can add on more trails if this one isn't enough! If you're an intermediate rider but would love to see Red Rocks, we're happy to take you on this ride as long as you don't mind walking a few sections (we certainly don't mind walking with you!) - the views are amazing so it will be enjoyable regardless!
